Revolutionizing agriculture through emerging technologies
Greetings all — short post to share an invitation to a public livestream on March 10 from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. ET to discuss how the application of new and innovative technologies can help create a more climate-friendly agricultural system. Emerging and established farming economies must partner with entities that can translate sustainability goals successfully into people-centered technology ventures that use these tools to uplift and transform farming practices to ensure global food security.
Specifically, amid geopolitical conflict, climate change, and globally disruptive events, farmers and food producers are faced with ever-mounting challenges. Emerging technologies are critical to ensuring an ample, consistent, and nutritious food supply. Agricultural innovations such as connectivity solutions, precision technology, and smart equipment can take the guesswork out of food production in the current global context where there is an increasing demand by a growing population with fewer farmers to provide. These technologies can equip farmers with seasonal insights, help them make sustainable decisions backed by science and data, and allow them to achieve better agricultural yield with fewer resources — thereby mitigating the impact on land, water, and air.
